Taylor Studniski is a young woman who graduated in 2020. Currently, she is taking a break from school and working two jobs to help save money for her future. While she is figuring out which path she plans to take in life, one thing that she knows for sure is that she loves to give back. Ms. Studiniski is very proud of the volunteer work that she has completed and plans on completing more volunteer work in the future. Here is a little bit more about the volunteer work she has completed and why that work is important to her.
Taylor Studniski is proud to have volunteered with ManeGait during the fall months. ManeGait is an organization that pairs handicapped individuals with horses for therapy. There are many benefits associated with interacting with and riding horses for handicapped individuals. Those who volunteer with the organization help in many different ways. They can help to lead the horses, they can help to groom and clean the horses, and they can help to clean the stables and barns where the horses are kept.
Taylor Studniski explains that another volunteer organization that she has assisted with is Grace Lake Ministries. Grace Lake Ministries is another organization that allows handicapped individuals to ride and interact with horses. Ms. Studinski is pleased to have volunteered there for three months in the fall and three months in the spring and hopes to help out more as CoronaVirus restrictions continue to lift. Volunteers with this organization help to walk on the side of the horses, ensuring the rider stays safely positioned on the horse. Other volunteers help to guide the horses.
Taylor Studniski says that the final place that she has volunteered is at Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth. This organization helps to give those who are visually impaired the ability to work and support themselves. The organization helps to teach those who are blind necessary skills for self-reliance and independence. Volunteers are vital to the organization as they help with everyday tasks and activities.
Taylor Studniski may not know what the future holds for her, but one thing that she knows for sure is that volunteer work is extremely important. It not only helps people within your local community, but it also helps people to grow as individuals and teaches them valuable life skills. Ms. Studinski encourages people of all ages to get out and volunteer as much as they possibly can.
